Kids create a marine journal through photography, drawing, and painting to capture their underwater discoveries

DAY 1 - THE REEF FISH
  • Go photo hunting for common fish that inhabit the reef
  • Observe and learn where to look for different fish
  • Identify key features of different types of fish and how to draw them
  • Follow along the prepared guide and draw reef fish
DAY 2 - CORALS
  • Discover the types of coral that make up the reef, and how they contribute to accommodating all the types of fish in their habitat.
  • How to differentiate and draw them from memory and the photos they took
  • Follow along the prepared guide and draw corals
DAY 3 - THE CORAL REEF
  • Learn about the reef ecosystem, the organisms that live there and their relationships with each other.
  • Kids will discover all types of life that live on the reef and how they inhabit it together.
  • Complete their own snapshot poster of the reef

  • A backpack your child can comfortably carry (with their belongings inside)
  • A litterless healthy snack
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Sun protection items you prefer (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
  • Comfortable clothes for messy outdoor play (footwear should be comfortable for walks)
  • Raincoat & rain boots (if rainy)
  • Mosquito repellent
If the session includes ocean time
(parents will be informed ahead of time)
  • Swimwear & quick-dry clothes
  • Towel & extra change of clothes
    Please ensure your child can change independently — this helps reinforce confidence and responsibility during outdoor activities.
  • Waterproof bag for wet items
  • Children are welcome to bring their own snorkel gear
